Your Livestock's Safety
Is Our Priority
Every driver is vetted, every journey is tracked, and every regulation is respected. We take compliance seriously so you can ship with confidence.
Our Driver Vetting Process
Every driver on LPO passes a multi-step verification process before they can bid on loads.
CDL Verification
Every driver must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License of the appropriate class for their vehicle type. We verify expiration dates and endorsements.
USDOT & MC Number Check
We verify active USDOT and Motor Carrier numbers with the FMCSA database to confirm the driver operates legally as a carrier.
Insurance Verification
Drivers must maintain adequate cargo insurance coverage. We verify policy details and coverage amounts before they can accept loads.
Vehicle Inspection
Drivers document their vehicle type, capacity, and condition with photos. We review equipment suitability for livestock transport.
Profile Review
Our team reviews each driver profile for completeness and accuracy before they appear on the load board and can bid on shipments.
Regulatory Compliance
Livestock transport is governed by federal and state regulations. Here are the key regulations that all LPO users must follow.
USDA APHIS Regulations
All transport must comply with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service regulations governing interstate movement of livestock, including health certificate requirements.
The 28-Hour Law
Animals cannot be confined in a vehicle for more than 28 consecutive hours without being unloaded for rest, water, and feeding. Our tracking system helps monitor compliance.
FMCSA Regulations
Drivers must comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules including hours of service, vehicle maintenance standards, and operating authority requirements.
Animal Welfare Standards
Vehicles must provide adequate ventilation, space, water access, and temperature control. Drivers are trained to monitor animal welfare throughout the journey.
Built-In Safety Features
Our platform provides tools to help ensure every transport meets safety standards.
Real-Time GPS Tracking
Monitor your livestock's location at all times. Our live tracking provides visibility into the journey from pickup to delivery, including stop times and route adherence.
Digital Documentation
Health certificates, transport contracts, and proof of delivery are all managed digitally through the platform. No lost paperwork, no compliance gaps.
E-Signature Contracts
Every transport is backed by a legally binding digital contract signed via DocuSign. Clear terms, responsibilities, and liability provisions for both parties.
LPO provides tools to help facilitate compliance but does not guarantee that any user is in full regulatory compliance. Each user is independently responsible for their own compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
